Chorley is a known as Lancashire’s market town and is the largest settlement in the Borough of Chorley with a population of 105,400.
Traditionally a mining town, the wealth of the area came through the cotton industry. The town has also been heavily involved in the ammunition and armaments industry and truck manufacturing.
