Portable Toilets Launch the Start of School Production, ‘Urinetown’

Yes, it’s not exactly Romeo and Juliet or Sweeney Todd, but a innovative high school production have used a bunch of portable toilets to launch their production of ‘Urinetown’. The unlikely school musical proved to be a hit as the nine portable toilets were lined up to spell the name of the play at Central Dauphin East High School in Pennsylvania.

The play is about a dystopian world where the water is scared and toilets use is monitored and contolled by a private corporation.

In my day, it was all Joseph’s Technicoloured Dreamcoat and mums stitching your outfits together, school plays have come a long way!

Toilet Hire: Jungle Style

Toilet hire has gone native. This is a plant that grows in the jungles of Borneo and is used as a toilet by the native Tree Shrew. The flower collects the dropping and uses them to produce a sugary substance. This is substance is then eaten by the shrew.

Meet Nepenthes Lowii, nature’s own lavatory.

It is definitely a win-win situation for all parties involved.

The sap from the plant has a ‘slightly disagreeable odour’ but it is the sweet taste that attracts the shrew. While it’s a great example of recycling, it’s unlikely to go down well with humans.

The position of the substance on the permanently-opened lid of the plant makes it the perfect position for the shrew to perch.

The plant starts its life as a meat-eating vine but leaves this carnivorous existence behind as it matures and develops a penchant for animal droppings.

Its self-sufficiency means it thrives in a habitat known to be poor in nutrients, making it one of nature’s best recycling machines while providing everything the mountain shrew needs.

Health and Safety in the Toilet Hire Office

We don’t do things by halves at TopToilets.com, toilet hire, shower hire, portable urinals…health and safety is also a big priority. That’s why Matt in the office takes it upon himself to make sure he’s well covered if a stray lever arch file falls on his head, or a leaky biro bursts on his clothes…

Anyway, here’s Matt saying hello during his mid afternoon tea break. It’s a look that could catch on…maybe.

Portable Toilets in Kent

We were delivering portable toilets in Kent yesterday when the woman who had ordered them told us she couldn’t be onsite to tell us where to stick the units. She told us she’d leave instructions in the porch. Which was fine by us – we got there, and she’d written clear, concise instructions as to where they should go. She’d also left a flask of tea and a plate of biscuits for the driver! The driver was pleased as punch as the weather was freezing so the tea went down a treat. He left her the delivery note with a big thank you on. Bless!

Portable Toilet To Hire

A parent rang up asking for a portable toilet to hire for a party he will be holding next month, but wondered if we did a disabled unit for a few guests that were going to be arriving. We do loads of disabled units, so we’ve booked him in for one to be delivered the day before his party in March.

So, the guests will be able to use the loo fine – the only thing we can’t guarantee is the dodgy British weather!
