Loo-cy in the sky with diamonds

Music fans on the lookout for portable loo hire in Berkshire might have noted the eye-watering sum fetched for John Lennon’s porcelain lavatory.

The item – which was used by the Beatles songwriter when he lived at Tittenhurst Park between 1969 and 1972 – went under the hammer at a recent showpiece.

It fetched £9,500 at the 33rd annual Beatles Convention in Liverpool.

All loo need is love, you might say.
