Olympics “Push the Cost of Festival Toilet Hire Up”

Michael Eavis has decided to not hold Glastonbury in 2012, as the Olympic Games is going to push the cost of festival toilet hire up. The festival normally has a fallow year to allow for the land to recover, this was orignally earmarked for 2011 – but the Olympics in 2012 clinched the deal.

“I can see it getting very expensive,” he said. “So we looked at the timing and thought that a year off seemed sensible.”
